Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer
What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! In this 7-session Bible study, Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.
Thursdays at 9:30 am in the South Auditorium and Thursdays at 6:30 pm in Bethlehem (C4)
(7 sessions, running April 12 - May 24)
Childcare available during the Thursday 9:30 am Bible study only.
Precept Upon Precept: Hebrews, Part 3
Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our Faith

Monday at 9:30 am and Thursday at 9:30 am in En Gedi (C6)
(6 sessions, running April 2 to May 7 & April 5 to May 10)

Men's Discipleship: 1 John
April 5th - June 7th, 2018
As men, we work hard to invest in our careers, our homes, our marriages, our families, and our hobbies. We have a lot on our shoulders. With all that, it can be challenging to take the time to invest in our personal walks with Christ. Join Pastor Chris Meade and other men, and dive into the book of 1 John, growing together as followers of Jesus, and speaking directly into the challenges, responsibilities, and blessings we face as we seek to make Jesus first in our lives. Will you commit to Thursday evenings to be challenged, encouraged, and equipped to grow in your relationship with Christ and other men?
Who: Any man, 18 or older, any place in your walk with Christ
When: Thursdays from 7-8:45 pm, starting April 5
Where: Room B5 (Upstairs)
Cost: $0 . . . just bring your Bible!
Please register to let us know you are coming! See you April 5.
Women's Retreat 2018
April 6th - April 8th, 2018
Could you use some good news? We live in a broken world, and sometimes the hurt and trials of our lives leave us feeling anxious and overwhelmed. The good news is that God is never-changing and always faithful. He is our solid rock, our firm foundation, and our good, good Father. Join us this year as we learn more about the character and nature of God by studying the names of God found in Scripture. As we have a clearer image of our Savior, we will also strengthen our identity in Him and be reminded of where we can place our hope!
On April 6-8 we will head to the Agate Beach Inn in Newport OR. Our guest speaker, Jenna Silva, will be walking us through the names of God and what those names tell us about His character. During this sweet weekend you can expect powerful worship and time to be still. You will be treated to beautiful views, fun free time, and lots of friends—new and old!

Have you ever bought groceries for a stranger? What if that gift of food opened the door to sharing about Jesus?
FEED SALEM is an annual event where churches from around Salem partner to provide the practical need of food for the body and the spiritual need of the gospel for the soul! We would love for everyone to contribute. It’s really easy!
- Pick up a box and food list
- Fill a box with food
- Help deliver the food
Boxes and food lists can be picked up at the Feed Salem table in the north lobby. Lists are also available online at mstar.church. The deadline to bring your box full of food back is Sunday, April 8! We will be delivering food boxes, praying for others, and sharing the gospel in our community at 1 pm on Saturday, April 14.
Please register for the team(s) you would like to join! If you would like to register for multiple teams, you must register for each team separately.
This team will deliver food boxes to families at their homes on April 15. We need people with large SUVs or trucks with tarps. If you have an extra tarp, please bring it!
This team will help the delivery team distribute food boxes, ask if people need prayer, pray, and share the gospel as opportunities arise.
This team will confirm with those who are in need of a food box to ensure they will be at home to accept them on delivery day. This team will make calls prior to April 14. It can be done on the go or from home.
April 22nd - May 27th, 2018

Morning Star Tables
June 8th, 2018
As women, we are created with an intrinsic need for relationship and connection. We know it’s possible to attend church and see the same faces week after week, and still not feel that deep connection. We invite you to gather at the Tables, to make and deepen friendships while you share delicious food and participate in meaningful discussion about the One who connects us all.
Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share or a $5 donation to cover costs.
Please sign up so we know how many to expect!
Israel Study Tour 2018
October 21st - November 1st, 2018
with Pastor Scott and Denise Nelson
For thousands of years, no place has been more precious to God’s children than the land of Israel. God used the land to shape the lives of His people in Bible times, and He is doing the same today. A study tour to the Holy Land is a wonderful faith-maturing experience. It’s one of my greatest joys in ministry! Every time I’ve had the privilege to lead a group to Israel, I’ve returned home more in love with Jesus, more committed to His cause. Every time.
We’ll worship, we’ll pray, we’ll learn, and our hearts will be knit together in one profound, life-enriching experience after another.
If you’ve ever longed to go to Israel, I urge you to take advantage of this outstanding opportunity. Would you pray about joining us? Let’s start planning for the trip of a lifetime together!
